I have been on this Earth for 50 years. For a large part of that life, I lived like a child who was completely unconscious. I was an adult going through the motions—going to work, raising kids, doing “dang life”—without seeing the magic right in front of me.
It wasn’t until I truly “woke it up” that I remembered what our ancestors tried to tell us. I remembered the lesson I was told as a kid: “If something is going on, don’t listen to man. Look at nature.”
Nature is the ultimate truth-teller. If the outside world is happy and shiny, things are good. If the deer are running, the birds are flying away, and the plants are dying without reason, that is a sign that something is not okay. Nature is the key.
And nature operates on a schedule. Every year, without fail, there is a Winter, a Spring, a Summer, and an Autumn. I realized we can use these same energies to heal and grow.
The Myth of the “Dead” Winter

We tend to look at winter and the Solstice as a time of darkness or death. But ancient wisdom tells a different story.
Thousands of years ago, from the Neolithic structures of Newgrange in Ireland to the Dongzhi Festival in China, our ancestors knew that the Winter Solstice wasn’t the end—it was the “Womb of the World.” It is the moment the sun stands still before returning.
Just like the ancients who stopped their harvest to sit by the fire and tell stories, nature uses this time for incubation.
Look at the trees. This is the biggest representation we have that the Solstice is amazing. The tree doesn’t die in winter; it goes to sleep. It pulls its energy inward, down into the roots. It meditates. It “downloads” the information from the previous year so that when it awakens in the Spring, it is bigger, stronger, and more vibrant than before.
Using the Solstice “Cloak”

The Solstice energy is a cloak. It covers you so you can do the deep, internal work.
If you have a business, a relationship, or a personal dream, think of it as a seed planted in the ground. You don’t dig up a seed to check on it; you let it rest in the dark. This is your time to:
• Slow down.
• Dissect what worked and what didn’t.
• Study and put energy into the roots.
It is no coincidence that in the United States, the government tells you to look at your books and prepare for taxes at the beginning of the year. Unknowingly, they are following a natural law. You have to slow down, examine the year prior, and get your “house in order” so you are ready for the deadline in the Spring.
The “deadline” for nature is the Spring Equinox in March. That is when the light returns fully, the cloak is lifted, and the seeds you nurtured in the dark finally break through the soil.
Ride the Wave
If you are waking up and becoming conscious, you have access to this superpower. You don’t have to force growth right now. You just have to nurture the seeds while they are dormant.
I am Natasha Parker, and alongside Josh Parker here at Radiant Estates Wellness, we are here to help you navigate this Spiritual Awakening. We want you to understand that you are not doing this alone. The Earth is awakening, and she is helping you awaken, too.
If you can stop fighting the cold, stop fighting the dark, and instead “ride the wave” of this Solstice energy, you will bloom in the Spring.
Sit still. Listen. Rewrite your plan. The light is coming.
