Today, I sat in a courtroom.
I wasn’t there as a lawyer or a defendant. I was there as a Medium—a feeler of energy. And what I felt in that room was heavy. It was a tangible weight in my chest that told a story far deeper than the legal arguments being made.
In the spiritual community, we often talk about “Doing The Work.” But many people think “The Work” is just meditating or burning sage.
The real work is discernment. It is looking at your own life and asking: Am I operating in Service to Self, or Service to Others?
The Tale of Two Energies
As I sat there, I watched a tragic play unfold. A contractor had taken money to build a home for a family. The work wasn’t done. The family was left homeless, waiting for a sanctuary that never came.
Yet, the energy I felt from the contractor and the lawyers wasn’t remorse. It was Entitlement.
They were looking for loopholes. They were arguing that because they held the money, it was theirs—regardless of whether they had earned it. They saw the homeless family not as human beings to be helped, but as an opportunity to extract resources.
This is the definition of Service to Self.
- Service to Self says: “What can I get? How can I manipulate this situation to feed me? I am owed this.”
- Service to Others says: “How can I help? How can I honor my agreement? I want you to win as much as I win.”
The Spiritual Cost of Greed
I looked at the Judge, and I felt a different frequency—a kind heart trying to find balance. I looked at the Bailiff, and I felt the energy of a Soldier—duty and service.
But for those trapped in the energy of taking, my heart actually broke for them.
They don’t realize that Energy never lies. You can fool a human judge with paperwork and loopholes. You can find a way to keep money you didn’t work for. But you cannot fool the Universe, and you cannot fool the Council you face when you leave this body.
When you extract energy from others—when you take money for work you didn’t do, or harm the vulnerable to pad your own pockets—you are creating a spiritual debt. You are anchoring yourself to a lower vibration.
Service to Others acts as a rocket fuel for your soul. When you act with integrity, compassion, and honesty, you evolve 1,000 times faster.
“The Work” is Integrity
We are all born with these programs embedded in us. We have all had moments of selfishness. “The Work” is not about being perfect; it is about catching yourself.
It is about looking in the mirror and saying: - “Am I holding onto something that isn’t mine?”
- “Am I valuing my profit over someone else’s survival?”
- “Am I acting from Love, or am I acting from Lack?”
The Final Verdict
To those who are “awakening”: Compassion is your compass.
If you are in business, do it to serve. If you are in a relationship, do it to give.
Do not be like the souls I saw today, dragging out a battle to keep what they did not earn, blind to the pain they were causing.
You have to face God—and yourself—eventually. Make sure that when you do, you can say: “I served well.”
